Could it be during start-up when the needles reset themselves? I noticed there's two warning lights on and the revs are really low for a car that's supposedly going 100 mph.

Hoping that is in Klics.

that would be my guess since you can very clearly see the tree in the background and I can't imagine a smartphone camera would be good enough for that to happen at that speed.

Let's see, 100+MPH, TPS monitor alerting, no seatbelt ...

Really low compared to what? I have no idea what this guy's driving, but it's probably not a 9k RPM Ferrari or something. If it's a normal/common shitbox, we're talking about a 6k/7k redline, which means he's at 50% RPM there in this pic. For reference an 8k RPM Civic Si can get to 100mph @ 4300RPM in sixth gear, so this is more than plausible.

Ha. I'm stealing that picture.

Considering it's in drive, doubtful. (Bottom right corner)

The speedo reads about 100 mph and tops out at 120 mph, yet the needle on the tach isn't even at the halfway mark. Something odd is going on.

Again, halfway compared to what? We don't know where the tach needle stops, and not all tach needles on two full gauges sweep the whole 270° around.Where the needle is on the tach is not as important as where the engine RPM is at that speed, and for a 6k/7k RPM shitbox, 100 mph @ 3k is more than plausible. Also, as someone else pointed out in the thread, the car is in drive.

I have a speedo pic of 120 mph in my mom's Dodge Caravan. Younger and way dumber.
/I know doesn't count unless I post the pic. But it's on the home comp.
